He has represented high-technology companies in the fields of memory design, semiconductor processing, electronic design automation, video game distribution, and networking.
He has extensive experience portfolio development. He has assessed a large number intellectual property portfolios including many thousands of patents. The evaluation of IP portfolios has involved conducting infringement and validity analyses of highly technical patents as well as working closely with subject matter experts. He has also been involved in the business aspects of portfolio development including analyzing competitor’s portfolios, negotiating terms for acquisition, and drafting licensing. He has also taken knowledge and expertise gained through the portfolio acquisition process into the litigation process to further assist clients’ portfolio development.
He assists technology companies in their continuous management, assessment, and prosecution of intellectual property strategies.
